FaithPointe Baptist Church began on April 18, 2004, with 40
people attending. We held our first public service on Mother's Day,
May 9, 2004, and officially became a church on August 28, 2005. You
will discover that it is not the vision of FaithPointe to be the
trendiest or largest church in town. We desire to be a community of
believers that genuinely care for one another, and encounter life
together. We want to be a church that is completely committed to
God's word, and is making an impact wherever we go. We realize it is
not about us and we want to reflect that. That is why our Mission
Statement is.....
"REAL PEOPLE. REAL CONNECTIONS. REAL FAITH."
REAL PEOPLE: We desire to be transparent and authentic in
all that we do and say. We don’t have it all figured out, nor do we
have it all together. Everyday, we are doing our best to try to
honor God with our lives. You will find that we are ethnically
diverse, generationally diverse, and not just a bunch of people who
have been in church all their lives. We believe God has called us to
serve this area by investing ourselves in the lives of others
whenever we get the chance.
REAL CONNECTIONS: We want you to find true connections to
other people and to Jesus Christ at FaithPointe. We find this is
accomplished as a large group through our weekend worship. Also, our
home groups are designed to help with this process. Each group meets
twice a month for informal discussions about the Bible and other
topics of spiritual interest. Each group also seeks to find areas of
service within the community. By meeting, discussing, praying and
serving with one another we feel we are becoming a community that
strives to resemble the early church found in the Bible.
REAL FAITH: We hope that you will discover that placing
your faith in Jesus Christ will be a life-changing event that causes
you to want to go deeper in your faith. The depth of that faith can
be expressed in many ways. It manifests itself for us through
missional living. We believe God has placed us where we are to be on
mission for Him. We believe He has called us to multiply the Kingdom
and not just build a kingdom unto ourselves. That’s why we have
already been involved in helping plant churches in Oklahoma City,
Moore, and Seattle. That’s why we are also involved in missions
around the globe.
Whether you have been in church all your life, or you are seeking
to discover what this "church thing" is all about, we have a place
for you. No matter your age, you are welcome at FaithPointe, but
don't just take my word for it. In the "New to
FaithPointe" section, read the stories of other people who have
joined our fellowship. Find out what they have to say.
I hope you will take the time to browse the rest of our site to
further discover who we are. If you have questions that are still
unanswered, contact us at info@faithpointe.org.
I hope FaithPointe will become a place that you feel like you
belong.
